A GREEK engineer has built his own space balloon capable of photographing earth at the stratospheric layer – five times higher than the reach of a commercial aeroplane. Konstantinos Tamateas began building the stratospheric flight project in 2010 and has now sent two balloons into space to photograph his home country through the atmosphere. His first balloon – called Balkan Space Xpress – launched on 19 July 2012 and peaked at 21 miles over Thessaloniki, Greece. The second launch – titled Stratonauts – took place on 26 August 2013.

  1. why don't all of you people who believe this proves the Earth is a globe watch this balloon launch which doesn't use a GoPro camera!

FLAT EARTH ADDICT 05 : 121,000 feet Little Piggy Cam High Alttitude Balloon Flight

    THIS is REALITY!!!

  2. oh, and this is proof for a globe Earth? LOL they're just using a GoPro camera that makes the Earth look curved. what about all the other amateur balloon cameras that are sent up and show the Earth perfectly flat! you globos make me laugh. you never investigate anything! just believe what you are told and what you are shown. how about when the balloon popped and it was going down spinning showing a ball Earth. do you think the Earth is that small? you can tell it's a GoPro camera that's causing the Curve. are you globos that gullible?
