  1. I still have an old Fuji S7000 which is absolutely amazing for macro – it allows me to get within 1cm of the object and has pinpoint focus. I now have the Canon SX50HS but use the Fuji for macro simply because all I have to do is find my subject, press the 'macro' function and then concentrate n the shot. In fact, the Fuji is so good that even though it's been discontinued for years, I've bought two additional ones as spares.

    However there are add-on lenses that you buy quite reasonably for macro. These screw on like filters. Even so, this upload is interesting so I'll also follow the link to see how the lens was created.
